For our Sunday we enjoyed a walk around the West Loop area and had a really fantastic brunch at Bar La Rue. Definitely a French/European feel to the place and was very busy. It was Mother’s Day so the brunch menu was a bit truncated to be able to serve more guests, but we enjoyed it a lot! Escargot appetizer with drinks and a nice meal.

After brunch we took the train over to the Bean and had an eagle eye view from Cindy’s rooftop bar. Fantastic views and a cool atmosphere, very busy – but probably to be expected on a beautiful day.

After that we made our way back to the Nobu where we picked up our luggage and took a cab to the airport. Fantastic long weekend in Chicago in May. Would recommend the time of year and the West Loop as a great location for a weekend getaway.
